I know they rip you ... a local Toyota dealer was trying to charge me $2.00 each ... for "oil drain plug washers" ...

Yeah it says on the Amazon website that it will work with 2005+ Tacomas but the actual company that makes it says no. I asked them about the Tundra connector and they said it wouldnt work on the Tacoma so I dont know if they dont know what they are talking about or what? I'm debating on if I should just have my buddy order it through Amazon anyways?

Does anyone know if all the Tacomas come with the plugs for the Amazon kit to plug into? Even the ones that don't have the towing package? I need to get a hitch/wiring for my 05 x-runner. Thanks

Yeah, I definitely don't have the round plug like the Tacoma kit, but I have the 2 rectangle plugs like on the Sequoia or Tundra kit .. I'm probably sticking with the Pollak kit that comes with the plug and harness and 7 bare wires and then just splice it into the OEM harness

Yeah I see what your saying about the 2 rectangle plugs and I bet you the Tundra kit would work. I just dont thing the company is telling the truth or this tech doesnt know what he is talking about. Reason I'm thinking about having my friend order it is because Amazon said it will work so worst case scenario if it doesnt, he can always return it. I think thats a better way to go then spending $200 for the Toyota brand plug!!!

yeah, $200 for the Toyo plug is just nuts

Amazon has a great return policy too. I recently purchased the Pollak 12-705 socket and didn't like it too much. Went to return it and they told me to keep the part WITH a full refund.

Wow! My local dealership in Ontario listed it at just under $400, ($360 US). That's how they reward you for buying one of their vehicles.
