Only the maglight mod, mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
I have an '07 TRD Off-road With 104K miles and for about 3 months now my AC "recirc" damper door has been intermittently making a tapping noise. Sometimes it works fine, then sometimes it just won't work at all without the noise.
When I turn "recirc" on it makes a rhythmic tapping sound that goes away as soon as I turn off "recirc". I also had the issue with the resistor that has been resolved, but this noise turned up afterward. AC works fine otherwise as long as the "recirc" is off. I crawled under the dash and watched as I turned the "recirc" on and off, I noticed the door closes all the way and then it will have what looks like a "seizure" and starts opening and closing about a 1/4 of an inch. It's really annoying because I like having it closed when stuck driving behind a beater that spews out toxic fumes. I've searched the forum for a while now and haven't seen any posts directly related to this issue. I could be entering incorrect terminology, so any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for any leads or solutions that will keep me out of the stealership.

have you ever considered that your truck is just attempting to communicate with you via Morse Code?

Well, no actually. Maybe if I had paid more attention in Boy Scouts or during my ESWAS training in the Navy, I would be able to tell it to "STFU and do its job" in Morse code.

What's the name of that part? Is it just "actuator"?

Yeah it's the actuator for the fresh air damper.. I got this online a few years ago for a 2010 I had, was $35, not sure what the price for them are now.. dealer wanted around $115. This part had the same part # sticker on it as the OEM one.

No problem.. You'll need a 5.5mm socket to replace it too

A birthday gift to my myself 2 years ago was a complete set of craftsman sockets, extensions (angled & straight) and adapters SAE & METRIC for $300. I should be good for a while.

Take note: There are three of those servomotors on the system. See the diagram below. The one you need for the recirc control is the Air Inlet Control Servomotor. You will need to remove the glove compartment to get at it.

There's only two bolts on the servo right? I can barely get back there to tell, but I can see two of them.

its only the one that goes out... the tapping noise is the door opening and closing due to servo being stripped

They are all built the same. Any one of them could go out.
