My truck is pretty consistent after a minute ot two of running and it's 13.4 volts. The voltage meter/USB output on mine is actually pretty accurate at +/- 0.1 volts and verified with 2 Fluke DVM's several times.

I've got nothing positive to write about 3 different vehicles from 3 different manufacturers running at 14.5 volts all of the time.

I will do so. Probably not till Monday because that’s my day off and I work till 7 so by the time I get home it’s dark and cold. Also the weather here for the next few days is going to be bad they say but when I do I’ll post the results regardless of what they are.

How about Toyota? Nice and cold this morning. I’ll post another when I get to work. 10F227CE-BED8-4523-B7D9-91966F3B200A.jpg

It’s a slick one out here today boys. All warmed up charging system remains consistent. Same interstate battery going on 6 years. No damage yet. 803D834E-18C1-4F00-B665-FBE57B2386A3.jpgE749B1BD-6FAC-41F4-8529-377A38381AA8.jpg

Might want to consider the voltage regulator going bad, if that indeed is the output of the alt. I’d be more interested in the DMM test at the battery.

*edit*. Just read your bio under the username. Do you have an aftermarket alt for your upgraded stereo?

Not yet but it’s on my list. I’m still within parameters for the stock charging system. When I go from a 5 channel to a twin amp set up I’ll need to upgrade the battery and alt. The vehicle I’m in today is my Corolla. I use it for most of my daily because of the better fuel economy. Everything on this one is stock as well. You guys have a lot more knowledge then I do about this stuff that’s why I love TW. I just found this thread interesting because everything I’ve ever worked on has charged with a consistent voltage between 14.3 up to about 14.7 even a little higher under cold start conditions like the other member pointed out. I’m really interested to see the results of the test for the yoda. I’ll drive it around for a bit to make sure it’s up to temp and the battery if fully charged before I test it.
