Hey guys. I got the switch working. However after about five minutes the camera turn off. I have to toggle the switch back and and forth again to get it to turn on for another 5 minutes. Is there some sort of timeout on the camera??

I have a 2011 sr5, with Joying HU and Joying rev cam.
I left the camera in mirror alone.
I’d like to add a front camera and use switch to view the front and aftermarket rev cam anytime.
Tying to figure out easiest way to accomplish it. Everything I’m finding is using factory cameras.
    Appreciate any help, Thanks

I have no experience with this kit, perhaps others can chime in.

I did the relay method for the backup cam button and it worked great for me.

I thought this as the IN1 plug... but now I'm stumped, disconnected the switch and put it in reverse, backup camera still comes on.

    Thoughts??

Connector slot numbers are opposite of wires side. (Looking into the removed connector)

Thanks to the OP for the legwork and instructions, and to Robman for the diagram for using an SPST switch for the application! I don't guess I NEEDED to go that route, but I do like the closer-to-factory look it gave. I soldered in connections to a new head unit, and I can see all kinds of things behind me now.
