Wouldn't it be fine as long as the antenna is grounded with a wire?

Instead of it being a corner bracket would it possible to design one like the bed rail mounting bracket so I could possibly move it forward or back. Hope that make sense.

    Diameter would be around 4".

    Please let me know.

Ok, so here is what I have. Sorry it took so long I was super busy last week!

In theory this should work fine (I think) according to the photos you've sent. If you'd like to pull the trigger I can do it for $29 shipped, and in case it doesn't fit I will be happy to re-design it and send a new one for free, shouldn't be far off at all if it is. :)

Curious why you "wont make them again. Ever."? I would probably like some, but this is going to be my first full camping season coming up this year, and I need to make sure I have a use for them before buying.

Im thinking of buying them more for a tie down spot for gear

I might, but mostly said that because they aren't very profitable compared to other things that take the same time, so I'm just doing them for a little while.

Grounding is not the issue. PLA is a bio plastic, by design it breaks down quickly. A CB antenna puts a heavy load on the mount when driving at highway speeds or hitting tree branches so it might not last very long. This doesn't mean in any way that it is a bad product so please don't take it like that. Might be ok for mounting lights or other stuff. PLA breaks down when exposed to the elements much faster than ABS. I'm not a hater, just been in the plastic manufacturing industry for a long time. I have a possible use for the side rail brackets so I am considering a purchase myself.

Hadn't ever thought of that, thanks! Actually been running PLA, HTPLA and PETG parts in outdoor/hard working conditions for quiet a while and have never noticed anything like breaking down at all... not saying it wouldn't happen, but I think the fact that they're almost solid parts helps. For an antenna mount I could easily print in ABS or some other material if it was a concern.

I'm in, how do we do this? I'll keep an eye on it breaking down and keep you guys updated. Quick question, are the screws aluminum? Rust is a biatch around here and I can paint it if it isn't aluminum.

Awesome, thanks man! Here is a link, just for you! :) Bolts are stainless steel, so shouldn't be much problem with rust.

I received mine and installed them in the bed. Haven't taken any pictures yet or mounted any lights yet. Should be getting some here soon. But they fit well and seem durable!
