Hey guy, i just became an official TW member today although i have used it many times to work on my tacoma. Ty guys for all ur help. I have a Question mabye u can help me with. My cousin has an 2006 access cab, TRD offroad with roughly 80,000 miles that he will sell to me for 15k. My problem is he drives the piss out of his truck, Off road very often and pretty much rallys it on the hills we live around. He doesnt jump it or anything major. but 80k miles for 15k price seems like an awesome deal and is what i have been shopping for, for months. Could i get your guys opinion on the matter. The truck sounds great but i am yet to drive it, which is what i plan to do as soon an i can

Hello and welcome. 15k for a tacoma is a good price, but a lot of money for something that has been beat on. For a few thousand more you could get a nicely used one. I personally wouldn't buy something that I know has beat.

Wow, u guys answer fast :). yea i hear you on the fact about buying a beaten ride. my only problem is finding what im looking for, which is 2nd gen with trd OR and a manual trans. i live in northern california, almost on the organ border, and the only thing i have found is near San Deigo with 18k price tags and 100,000 miles. Such a long drive just to look and come back empty handed if im not happy with what i went to look at. my thinking on it was, if the motor and drivetrain seen solid, suspesion and other parts that may have been beat up can be fixed if needed. he also just had his insurance company replace frame with 2011 model because of the cracking problem the earlier 2nd gens have. Thank You for the fast response guys! I will prob have mechanic look at it, as well as drive and see what I think. OH and just remembered my cousin has only had the vehicle for 10k miles, he bought it because it was only $16,000 and with 70k miles with one owner and great carfax record. he couldnt pass it up, but he has a family of 5 and it can only hold 4 ppl.
