Case in point, I found several years ago about putting a larger capacity oil filter on my vehicles. The first one I did it on was my 2007 Kia Sportage. I now have my Tacoma. I noticed a serious increase in performance and start up and shut down. I had better acceleration, then I put a k&n drop in filter. More change. I put a larger oil filter on my Neon R/T, but tested this theory out. My next oil change I put the factory size back on. The performance was gone, so I put the larger filter back on and the performance came back. I did the same thing with my Tacoma and I noticed the same things I am telling you all, less release pressure in my clutch pedal, but now with CIA I notice more of that and now MPG's.

A larger capacity oil filter will not do any of that...

Your perception is way off here man.

But why can’t something that has no effect on engine vacuum affect something that is entirely separate and mechanical/hydraulic?

My rear tire pressure was low so it caused my headlights to stop working.

Larger Oil Filter = more filter media surface area == better performance, start up and shut down??? What does this mean?

Better acceleration: Acceleration, a result of the engine burning fuel mixed with air sending rotational force through a transmission and gear set to the tires... Nothing to do with engine oil filtering capacity which would actually allow for longer oil change intervals.

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Plausible, offset the weight of the driver's side and makes the truck more aerodynamic.

Plausible, they're pointing at the sky now.

Plausible, stiffer springs transmit less vibration to the motor which can then actuate the wipers more smoothly.

Even with all this plausibility I still can't link the CAI to the clutch pedal.

Lol sorry but you never supposed to listen to what a pastor says. They are usually not correct.

I had a bad relationship with the church.

The cold air intake won’t give you any power. It will make the car louder, which you might think why it’s faster.

oil does nothing with performance. As long as you have the correct oil In the truck, it will preform the same. A bigger filter will only have more capacity to capture dirt.

Now this thread is delivering lol

This has to be a troll account. Bigger oil filter=better performance; CAI=better clutch feel. C'mon.

Re: less tension in clutch - you may have a leak, or bad seal in your closed loop, passive hydraulic system for operating the clutch if you are experiencing a softer pedal feel. The alignment of your softer pedal feel with the installation of your warm air intake is coincidence, and entirely unrelated.

Trust in feelings of improved power, acceleration, clutch pedal feel versus performance measurements.

Kinda like I feel my arm getting longer if I really, really reach after drinking my fruit juice versus observing there is no measured changed of before and after.

    Each to their own.
