    has anyone tried installing the 2016 OEM door sill protectors in a second gen? Can you confirm fit?

    I would guess they will fit since it's the same cab. Unless they changed, the stock sill protectors are inferior to some of the aftermarket ones available. The stocks that I know of, only cover the horizontal part of the sill.
    The ones I have (AVS) cover the the vertical, and horizontal sections.

    I have those. The AVS Ventshade brand.

    They work fine. And they weren't terribly expensive from what I remember.
