Will be installing an 8” Kicker HideAway powered sub in my double cab this coming weekend. I’ve seen lots of forum posts putting the sub under one of the front seats. However I haven’t seen many posts about placing it behind the back seat.

what are the pro/cons of putting it behind the backseat versus under one of the front seats? I would think the lows would sound more balanced with the sub in the back but maybe I’m wrong?

    Pros in the back
    -totally out of the way
    -Won’t vibrate your butt

    cons in the back
-may sound muffled behind the back seat
-needs lots of foam or something to keep it from rattling on the plastic
    -takes up storage space
    -less volume output
