Scoured the threads for possible answers but seems it may not be a simple one. Looking to hear everyone’s opinion!

2005 Off-Road. Heavily modded. Vibration while cruising between the 40-50mph range. Tires are the Yoko G003’s paired with steel beadlocks from BattleBorn.

A lot of things against making it a smooth ride but in my efforts to track the issue down I’ve tried a few things:

    -Multiple balances of the tires
    -2 alignments
    -Carrier bearing drop for driveline
    -Torquing everything in between

Any feedback is appreciated. I know it’s tough to get a smooth setup on a truck like this but if I can make it more comfortable on the way to the trails I’ll take it!

If you think it's coming from the driveline, check out this huge thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/drive-shaft-vibrations-solved-step-by-step.244535/

If you have any friends that also have Tacomas/4Runners/etc and can swap wheels & tires with them (assuming they have a less aggressive setup), you could do that temporarily to rule out the source.

Good luck, vibrations are sometimes one of the most difficult things to chase down.

One thing from that article that I may try is the lead pack shims. I’ve already shimmed my carrier bearing so maybe I can double check my angles and shim the leafs.

Swapping wheels is also another great idea. Time to hunt for a donor lol

Kinda have the same issue intermittent. Think its my rack, i know they go bad fairly easy

    Also the intermediate rack

    Tie rods

(All things I need done and last on my list to correct it)

I’ve contemplated the rack as part of the issue as well. Whenever I’m on a trail I feel like it makes the noises of a loose rack but I can’t find anything loose when I’m torquing things down in the garage. I’ve beefed up my tie rods with the war fab sleeves (can kind of see them in this photo) and everything seems tight with the inner rods so it’s a mind boggle.
