I downloaded a patched version of techstream and was hoping to reflash my ecu with it. I was able to connect to my vehicle, but when I completed the health check there were no updates available for the calibration id. I did some research and the calibration id is still the one from the factory, however, there is a tsb (tsb 0393-09) specifying the updated calibration id. I was wondering if the calibration is something that can be downloaded and uploaded to techstream through its program files. Or is there another way to go about this. I should state that going to the dealership is my last option and might not be an option all together.

@Valvecoverlover, I just went through this same problem also trying to use a "patched" version of Techstream V18.00.008 and a Mini-VCI J2534. In my case, I was attempting to install the necessary .CUW file to upgrade the ECU for T-SB-0080-12, and finally get rid of the annoying P0456 EVAP code. No bueno.

Long story short, I had no choice but to use the official https://techinfo.toyota.com Professional Diagnostic 2-day subscription (and downloadable TIS software), including the necessary .CUW file for upgraded ECU calibration and a Mongoose-Plus J2534 to ultimately reflash the ECU. If this is too overwhelming (or expensive), just find a local independent Toyota shop near you, the dreaded stealership or just live with it. GL
