toytec lift (eibach, bilstein 5100 at 0, Recall springs +Sumo Springs) seat covers, tint, weathertecs, shrokwork sliders, brute force rear bumper, in bed hi lift.
Eibachs at 0 w/driver side lean spacer. 2 in. toytec aal, no tsb, 265/70/17 Duratracs on american racing atx ledge. This gave 1.75" lift front and 2.75" lift on rear over stock. Truck only has 2,500 miles and no heavy loads really. If could do it again, I would go with the 1.5" aal or a complete spring pack. Rides good but a little shutter at take off. The carrier bearing drop shims helped but didn't cure it.

Hard to tell from the pictures but I have the eibachs at .85 and a wheelers 3 leaf pack for 1.5 inches in the back. Right now Im running 265 70 17 but would like to go up to 285's. Dont know if they will fit.

The lift is great. CV's are perfect. No vibes and drives beautiful.

The shudder at take off is generally axle wrap, something an AAL is supposed to lessen. Who installed the AAL? I would make sure the u-bolt nuts are torqued down properly, 73 ft/lbs.

A local shop did the install. I've checked the u bolts and they are tight. Not sure I can blame the lift completely though. When brand new and stock, it had an axle wrap thunk on take off. Now it shudders at a higher frequency and you can feel it in the shifter. I might make the long trek to the dealer and have the tsb springs put on it. Then again, I might just trade it off next year anyway cause I don't think this one is a keeper.

Do you have the pinion angle shims on the spring pads? If not they might help, you can get them from Toytec.

sfcadams, Do you have coilovers on the front of your truck or 5100's set.85 w/ eibachs w/ top plate spacer like your description says. They are 2 separate things and would love to know what combo you have up front. The coilovers give a 3" lift and to get that out of the eibach billies .85 I think you need 1/2" spacer.

Please let me know the exact set up if possible... I have the same truck in a 2010 and would love to match the stance. Thanks

Hey Chris on your Mossy oak Tacoma..why did you change to a 1/2" driver and 1/4" spacer and what difference did it make? Thanks

I bought the top plate spacer kit from Toytec. I used one of them on the driver side and the 1/4" taco lean spacer from toytec on the passenger side. This corrects the lean from the gas tank and battery being on the driver side and gives more lift. I sold the extra 1/2" spacer to Chris.

I switched out the spacers for the extra lift to counter the weight of the ARB I just installed this weekend. :D

Thanks Chris, just wondering because the stance on your truck looks great but makes sense if your adding close to 100lb. thanks again

sfcadams ...ok so you got the complete coilover kit that already gives a preset 3" lift....I wonder it rides the same as setting up the billies .85 w/ Eibachs and 1/2" top spacer which would give 3" as well. Thanks

It has the same stance as it had before adding the spacers now but the ride is smoother now. I'll try top take new pics this weekend! Thanks for the compliments!

Chris, thanks for the responses ...wow its smoother I would have thought a little stiffer due to raising it a touch but that works for me. Pics would be great

I have the pad shims from toytec, but haven't put them put on. They came with no directions and i'm not sure which way they need to go. Should the point of the wedge go to the front or the other way around? Good thought tho, maybe i'll try that. tx.

The pointed edge to the front, fat end to the rear. If you already have them, its worth a shot installing them and see if it helps.

Is it dangerous to run 5100 up front at max lift (2.5") with stock springs?
Also, what would be a full 3" lift setting with the 5100 with eibachs?
