Put a cheapy cat back on off Amazon, under 200.00. Sounds....................................like I took the old one off and did not put anything back on...

 

Does this facilitate banana in the tailpipe via drive-through at Sonic?

 

He He He, reviving an old thread. I had an MBRP for about 5 years now. Completely rusted through at one of the hangers. Probably going to get a magnaflow now. I'm a child and I like noise. I also have a CAI (Afe), cam gears, intake spacer and soon a tune, Listened to a few clips and the magnaflow sounded a bit quieter overall, so I guess I'm stepping in the right direction. I do also plan on headers and a y-pipe at some point though.

 

Just had a Flowmaster 40 series delta flow welded on and dumped before the axle. Sounds great, better than I was expecting for sure. Low and rumbly around town and about as aggressive as you would want a V6 to sound before you get into tin can territory on the on ramps.

 

17 years of second gens running around and I’ve yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust that didn’t sound like crap.

The trd came with the truck and with a manual to resonate the sound is the best iv heard for these V6
Otherwise is sounds like a motorized scooter with an exhaust kinda

 

Ive got a Black widow muffler on my truck. Love the sound, not obnoxious. Something different than other Tacos and its not pretending to be a V8. Sound disappears while on the highway which is nice. Since the powerband starts up around 3k that is when the exhaust gets the loudest. So if you want to really hear it... down shift and get those RPMs up and pass someone on the highway.

 

There's nothing today, even a V8, that will ever sound like a 60s/70s Chevy V8 with glass paks or steel paks!!
