    Hey folks, I’m looking for some advice and suggestions.

    Background:
    2014 Tacoma with a supercharger it’s had most its life.
    Living in Canada.
    The current mileage is 160,000km.

    Situation:
    when I originally bought the truck I noticed a small amount of coolant sitting underneath the back right cylinder. At the time I thought nothing of it. Fast forward to today but I crawled under the truck and noticed the following photos. I’ve heard that this can be a common thing for these engines and often happened due to rust or a manufacturer water jet pointed in a bad direction. I have had no symptoms of an internally leaking head gasket. No misfires, Milky coolant or codes.

    Seeing this, I feel like I have 2 main options.

    1. Fix it but replacing the head gasket with a new one and hope that it solves the problem.

    2. Ignore it and continue with life as it currently is, waiting till the day the gasket eventually goes.

    What do people feel like the right course of action is?

    If you aren't having to add coolant and show no evidence of an internal leak I'd say keep an eye on the coolant level and run it until it get's worse.
    The 4.0 isn't really known for headgaskets just letting go suddenly providing they aren't overheated, they tend to slowly get worse over time.

    @Bishop84 your thoughts?

    How do the coolant levels look?

    I just let customers know its starting, usually I call it when theres a visible drip or actual coolant loss.

    Sometimes the advisors blow up my wording and scare the customer into fixing it.

    If this was my truck, I wouldnt fix it yet. I would likely change the coolant though to slow down the acidity of the fluid.

    Not noticing any coolant loss and I have recently flushed the system. Thank you all for your responses.

    I noticed pink crust buildup in a similar spot on mine last fall, panicked at first but decided to clean it off and monitor it. It's barely come back and I have not lost any measurable amount of coolant or had any other symptoms so I'm just letting it ride. That was around 165k and im at 177k now, so I wouldn't be too concerned yet.
