The second gen forum index is out of control. There are so many stickies you have to scroll down just to see the most recent thread. I don't know how others feel about this but I think it's kinda ridiculous.

I feel like we could consolidate the threads into a few well thought out categories to help trim the fat and group things intuitively so people can find them.

    Sticky Suggestions
    Modifications
    Common Tacoma Problems/Fixes
    DIY's and Tutorials

That would cover EVERY SINGLE STICKY we have right now and take the number down from 13 to 3. I think this would help with forum functionality.

or make a big sub forum with all the stickies in one place....may run in to problems with people not searching for them though...just an idea though :)

Right, so we have one of the 3 stickies already made. That means that 33% of the work is already done. :D

So now we just need to make the other two and put the threads in the appropriate places.

all of those will be in 1 Sticky. There is no need to break it out. Eventually, I will get around to organizing it, but the other moderators may have more time on their hands.

    Coolness.

And like was said before, I'm sure this has been suggested before but I wanted to make sure. I really think it would help things.

what about if all the stickies were in a scrollable box at the top of each respective subforum, so they only take up x amount of room, regardless of how many

I think an editable post is better because then it can be divided up into different sections and provide more descriptions.

So I click the bookmark I have for the 2nd Gen forum and what do I see? Something is definitely different...ONE STICKY! :goingcrazy:

I don't have to scroll halfway down the page anymore to see the recent posts! :yay:

Thanks lsocoee, I appreciate the legwork moving everything. I'm a mod on the IS300 forum and I know what it's like consolidating everything and fixing broken links.
