Hello...From the research I've done, it looks like there is an ongoing issue regarding heated seats. Specifically, the wires melt into the electronic control unit. Ironically, we want warmed seats, but not warm enough to start melting plastic. :/ Apparently, there is a TSB out there, but only looks like it will be done within 3 yr/36K mile warranty. Here's my setup: 2015 Tacoma Limited 4x4 V6 double cab. I've included pics to help paint the picture of the issue.

Pic 1: Seat ECU, which has the cover removed, hence two separate pieces. 2 of the 5 prongs are melted and destroyed. Approximate dimensions of ECU are 1x1.75 inches, so it’s relatively small.

Pic 2: Male connector on bottom of seat. It's easy to cross reference the two burned prongs, which fit into the damaged ECU. Also vaguely shown, is the power connector from the vehicle.

Pic 3: Better pic of 3 prong power connector.

Here's my ultimate question: Has anyone used part # 87510-04050 to successfully fix this issue on a 2nd gen seat? Based on the damage, I'm going to need the ECU and actual seat warmer, but looking to the experts who've done this. Basically, need to know if the 3 prong connector in pic 3 is the same for all the replacement parts. Thx!
