My better half wants to get me some. I am torn in deciding where to mount the switch(es). I've got an 06 and I'm looking to get both heaters switch in one package.

Who's got them and where did you put the switch?

I do, it's an eBay kit with switches that look factory. Mounted them under the hvac controls. They also have switches with two dials on one switch but I like to have individual switches.

Nice, but those switch locations are not there in the 06.

What is wrong with putting them in the stock location?
I had the same initial thought, but that location doesn't exist on the 2005-2011. You would need a new sub-dash.

There is enough extra wiring to put them to the left of the steering wheel if you wanted. Don't know if you have available blanks on that side. Or you could cut openings in the center console to mount them.

I was thinking of cutting into either the shift console or the front of the armrest

I have the spaces, but I want the passenger switch available for the passenger to use...
