    The only disadvantage to IRS would be extreme off road crawling. I would love to have IRS simply for the increased ride quality.

    There are many more disadvantages to IRS. Strength, Complexity, and cost being three. I know you CAN build and IRS as strong as the current Tacoma rear but it is going to be $$ and still more complex. The solid rear offers low maintainance load carrying strength.

    If you want a Caddilac ride........get a Caddilac.
