I had the quest to find out if this can be done and yes it can. Easy to do.

    Parts:
    Toyota connector 90980-12304 x2
Toyota tweeter adapter harness. Purchase from ********* or anywhere you want. I bought mine from a harness supplier I use. I don't have a non JBL system to know if the harness I have will fit the non JBL systems. But it might. If someone can attach a pic of thiers, might can match it up.
    Female terminals: https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/1567
    Good crimping skills

The Subaru tweeters have the wires to what looks like pin 1 and 4 of the tweeter. So that's how I connected mine and it worked. 2nd gen JBL systems only have 2 wires. The adapter harness I have has 4 wires.

    Toyota connector

    Checking if connector fits

Next was wiring up new connector to the adapter harness

    Finished

So what's the big thing with tweeters that are in Subaru cars, of all things? Of all the brands and models of speakers you can get, why the ones used in Subaru vehicles?

If you have the wire harness from autoharnesswarehouse, you just crimp the pins on the outer 2 wires to the Toyota connector and plug into the tweeter.

The tweeters are actually Kicker tweeters that fit with no modification to the mount.

    Saving this for later.
Does this mean that there are two wires on the harness that will not be used?

    didn’t realize I hadn’t ordered this harness.
I’m getting Re-directed to Autoharnesshouse, and not having any luck.
Colors are off, but Any chance this is the harness from another site?

This is the page where they have the tweeter adapters listed:
    https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/41114.html

It isn't the easiest to parse through what you need but if you have eyes on it, it shouldn't be too hard...

I would not think that Toyota changed anything from o7 to 13. I would try the same parts I used.
