Thank man, just hadn't seen anyone else mention that all the wheel buttons don't work so just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Just wondering if you powered the camera off of the 12v Key Switched Wire or the 12v Reverse Signal Wire. I am thinking of going off the 12v Reverse Signal Wire so the camera isn't running the entire time. I will probably pull the radio out tomorrow to start probing pins. I am thinking of using this wire harness so I can go back to stock https://www.amazon.com/RED-WOLF-T-H...8f73&pd_rd_wg=amHRf&ref_=pd_gw_pd_cart_vw_crc

That harness is basically what the Anytime Backup Camera kit comes with, except it doesn't have the power and ground wire coming off it. I just added 12v to the black wire on the Truck side. But I think I did switched 12v, and not the reverse trigger wire. That's a good point to not have the camera running all the time.

Have you figured out how to get the radio not to shut off every time you back up? I've played around with all the settings and nothing changes. The radio turns off every time I put into reverse. I am hooked up to the reverse wire only.

I'm assuming you turned off the Mute Audio When Reversing Setting, so
You may have to turn UP the Setting: Sound Reduction When Reversing. I have mine set to 12. It seems counter intuitive but the higher that setting is the less it reduces the sound.

i ordered mine of ebay august 22nd... just got an email yesterday that it cleared customs in LA... should be here by end of week. Looking forward to installing. I ordered a OBDII sensor from Amazon and tested it with Torque Pro... seems to work well with the app. I have a 2012 OR that i converted to JBL back in 2013ish so fingers crossed that it will be a straightforward install.
I will post an update once i get it

Probed around the back of the radio and found that the camera is powered by 6 Volts. From the video and some of you it looks like your able to run it off of 12 Volts too. Either way I order a step down and will power it off the 12v Reverse Trigger as it seems to be the industry standard. I order the Headunit and just awaiting its arrival.

Most of my connections look the same, but wires in the camera harness are different. Mine are: Shielded Black is: Video + White is Video - and Solid Black is 12v. None of mine have the white markings on them.

Will add a Picture next time I pull it out.

So my Joying 8" unit arrived today. Install was super simple. Clock/hazard snapped right in. There were some connectors i didn't use but everything works as it should (steering wheel controls)
However... i do not get any cellphone audio out of the speakers. I am not sure why that is the case, i can play bluetooth audio fine and when i call, the other person can hear me- so must be a setting somewhere. So far i am impressed. I did not use the oem bracket but snapped the unit to the back of the LCD as Joying recommended.

i will update if i get the phone audio to work

Does anyone know if this will work with the anytimebackupcamera.com kit? I already have this kit installed in my 15 with camera in the oem HU.

Are you hooked up via CarPlay or BT wireless? If it's BT wireless audio (playing music), I believe its a setting under BT on your phone. You have to enable audio music or something to that effect.

So i contacted Joying, they had me update the software, that went okay but did not fix the problem. I have a feeling that the problem is my 2012 truck i upgraded to JBL and used a 2009 tacoma amp since that was cheaper when i installed it years ago... primary difference that i can tell is that the newer JBL amps had seperate tweeter output... and that the phonecall audio is trying to be sent only to the tweeters... since i replaced the 2013 entune/nav unit (which bluetooth phone calls worked fine) i didn't think there would be a problem. i am going to continue to see if i can come up with a solution, perhaps a different canbus adapter for the earlier unit could fix...but so far this is a major PITA...

I installed the Anytimebackup camera kit at the same time, it does work. Just have to add a +12v wire to the oem rear camera activation wire in the ABC harness that normally would hook to the factory head unit.

Clarify for me what exactly works and doesn't with your phone again? I'm not clear on your earlier post. You say cellphone audio doesn't work but BT does? I'm not sure what doesn't work then? If I understand correctly, you can't hear others over your speakers in your car when on a phone call. Sound right?
