On mine I plugged those 2 RCAs into the head unit in and my Factory Aux In worked.

I got shipping info today. HU coming from warehouse in China, but fascia is coming from US warehouse. Is that how it was shipped to others here?

Curious when you ordered? I ordered on Monday but haven’t received shipping confirmation yet to see where each part is coming from. Since mine is JBL the head unit definitely had to come from the China warehouse.

I ordered mine late Monday night. Non-JBL with OBD-II. I plan on leaving the reverse camera in the mirror for now. I have the 6" screen non-Entune unit in my truck right now. The one in my 2010 TRD OR (RIP) sounded better even though it just had the one line digital display. I replaced all the speakers and the 2013 sounds much better. I want the HU for the features more than the sound, and to "modernize" the truck.

Fascia arrived tonight (CA) without any shipping notice. Still nothing about the HU. Assuming it'll arrive in a couple weeks.

Their US warehouse is in Los Angeles, so not surprised you got the fascia so quickly. Looking forward to reading about your experiences with the HU when you get it. I'll share my experience as well.

Mine came all as one box. The 10.5" model, ordered early this month.

Wanted to share what worked for me with respect to mounting the head unit. It seems too heavy to be held in place by clips only... could become quite the projectile in a collision. I wanted to secure mine with the metal brackets... which I believe are the OEM brackets on my '05, but as the third owner of this truck I'm not really sure.

Anyway, the Joying unit doesn't have mounting holes that line up with a double din bracket. I had to modify my brackets by grinding down the alignment dimples and drilling two new 1/4" holes. The locations are shown below. The threaded holes in the unit are M5, but 10-32 screws w/loctite worked just fine for me

Thanks for sharing this! It'll be nice to know it's secure with the factory brackets.

I ended up not using the metal bracket for the 9" version. The unit is pretty light, and the four clips on the bezel support the hu pretty well.

My night mode or auto brightness isn't working, though. Like when I turn my headlights on, the screen doesn't auto dim. What's the fix?

Side note, I've been getting random abs and traction control light pop on and off since installed. Haven't figured that out

Did you figure out the auto brightness or random abs/traction issues?

The abs didn't come back on my whole 2000 mile road trip so idk what that was all about.

Never figured out the auto brightness. I checked all the settings but it never auto dimmed. It does have an auto screen off but not what I was looking for. I ended up using Android auto and hard set the map to night mode

Is anybody else having this issue or is this an isolated incident? I’m in the market for a new HU and have been watching this thread for a lengthy period as you guys work all the issues out. Lack of auto dimming/night mode = no go for me.

I just found the setting for auto dim!! Stupid place for it but see pic. Set it to Small light control instead of the default time control (which seemed to not work). But tested small light and it dims with headlights now.

Also got my data sim card in and it's working also. Next thing is why does it always say 0* temp for outside??

My unit arrived a day early. I ordered the 8" with knobs, but the instructions, what there were of them, were for the 9" screen. The unit I received differs from the unit online in one respect, there is an extra USB dongle coming out the same hole as the sim card slot cable....

I attached the USB dash cam to that and it worked. OTG USB port is for your phone. The third USB port I plugged in the tpms sensor

So steering wheel controls don't work out of the box. I tried the learning function, but apparently it isn't seeing ANY of my steering wheel button presses. Did I miss something? Can someone provide some help?

I'll answer my own question. The unit came with "can out" plugged into "can in". "can out" must be plugged into "key" for SWC to work.

Also I spent so much time playing around with the new HU with my headlights on (and the car not running) that I started to drain the battery. Once it got down to around 10.5v (what my charger showed as voltage before I started charging the battery), the HU shut down. At first I thought my HU had gone defective since if I turned everything off for a few minutes and then turned the key back to ACC, the radio would turn back on for a minute and then suddenly just go blank. I tried this a couple times and each time, the unit stayed on less time. Then I tried to start the truck and it just went eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Oh duh. Put the charger on for a few minutes, started right up and went for a drive. HU stayed on entire time.

Also, Android Auto started right up when I plugged into the USB.
