Same exact radio I had. The two sockets on the left and the two upper sockets match "A". The gray socket in the middle is for the USB and the tall one to the right is for the antenna (My harness came with an adapter for the antenna plug, and I bought an adapter for the USB on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F0YJ49O ). That leaves the lone socket in the lower middle and I don't remember if anything was actually plugged into that. So, my guess is "A".

Has anyone else experienced the issue where you can't log into your Google account because every time you get to the login screen, it crashes and goes away? I've been troubleshooting with their support team, tried countless software updates (and even regressing it back to old software) with zero luck. Tried all the resetting stuff too. Hoping for a hail mary here if anyone has anything to try. Thanks!

    Hello everyone!

New to the forums but wanted to let everyone know that I successfully installed an aftermarket 4-channel amp into my 9 Inch Joying Auto HU. I have a 2012 TRD off-road, non JBL.

ALSO. Look how sneaky this spot is.

Has anyone set up the joying AHD camera from constant power?

I wired mine to the amp cont power to test. The camera will only come on with the reverse trigger wire is hooked to the power as well. The problem here is of course, with constant power the reverse signal never turns off so I can't get the camera to turn off.

I removed power from the reverse trigger and now I do not know how to get the camera to turn on. It is powered, but there doesn't seem to be a menu setting to view the camera without being in reverse.

What I learned in previous backup camera wiring is that the reverse signal is essentially a ground for the power wire. Hook up the reverse signal to any ground and see if it comes on.

I have the reverse camera in my E46 M3 connected for anytime use.

Do you know if there is a setting in the menu's that will allow me to turn in off/on? Grounding the reverse signal will still leave the radio thinking I am always in reverse, won't it?

I couldn't answer that really. Different head units than in my M3. I wired it up like 5 years ago...all i can say is that I wired the reverse lights up to the camera and the trigger wires from the camera to a ground, and I think i wired the trigger wire from the hu to the reverse lights....something like that...

Use the ones that hold your cup holders down until you can get a few extras. They're all the same

I do a lot of vinyl decal/iron-on projects on the side and have rolls of vinyl laying around including matte black so I just made a rough template with computer paper then transferred/traced it onto the back of the black vinyl and cut with scissors even though I have a plotter than can cut shapes, etc.

Good places to find vinyl locally depending on where you live is Michael's and Joann Fabric stores. Amazon and Metrorestyling.com are great online sources.

And while I'm on the subject of glare or reflection, has anyone installed an anti glare screen protector? My radio will be arriving in a couple of days so I'm conducting preemptive searches on fighting the glare situation.

I saw where Amazon had matte black vinyl in 1" and 2" widths and wanted to try and keep the trimming to a minimum. Thanks for the info!

All righty then! The head unit was delivered today and is hooked up and running. I haven't buttoned everything up yet, because I'm hoping to only do this once. With that, I have a question. On the back of the unit there are two USB connections (circled in RED) and then next or with the sim card dongle is another dongle with a USB female connection (indicated with a black square and red lines). Please see the attached picture.

I'm curious as to where I should I connect the two (2) included USB cables to? The two in circled in red - or one there and the other up next to the sim card dongle?

    Appreciate any info!

The wired USB i connected the joying USB dash cam. OTG USB is for your phone to connect to Android auto or carplay. Third is open

Good to know. I'll run the two included USB cables out of the OTG and open slots. Using my house wifi, I downloaded AA on my phone and the HU. Once loaded it was able to run without my phone (Pixel 6) being connected via USB. I've never really used AA and I perfer not to. What I'd like to do is seperate my phone (except for calls) from the HU. I'm hoping a sim card (yet to be decided) will handle radio broadcasts and a good navigation app that works with the GPS antenna.

You don't need a sim for radio broadcast. And I agree with not using AA. Wireless AA drains your phone battery pretty quickly. I opted to get a data sim from my carrier and only operate off it now
