For those of you using t-mobile, did you run into any challenges getting the head unit to recognize the SIM card?

I put mine in the card holder, but the Joying still says the slot is empty

I got mine all updated to Android 12. Pretty easy. Just download the 6-22 update file. Unzip it. Copy the contents of the unzipped file to a USB drive that is FAT32 formatted. Insert USB into joying and it will auto detect and promt for update. Then do the same thing again with the Android 12 update.

If you plan to do the update, do it before setting anything else up because it will wipe the joying hard drive

I'm going to mess with my SIM tomorrow and will let you know what it says

Reset the HU. There is a pin hole on the front of the Joying (metal box). Paper clip works.

I was apprehensive about bricking the new toy before the physical install was complete. However, Android 12 is in. :humble: I like the new interface.

Both F & Bk cameras still work. FM radio is still meh.

I got the Joying backup cam working, but the Anytime 4-1 splitter doesn't seem to be working. Messed with it for a little bit and gave up. Gonna look for another splitter and return this one to Amazon

I looked at everyone I could find on Amazon and they all seemed to be the same, 4 camera systems where front cam automatically goes on when in drive for so many seconds.
Having the front anytime cam and the only in rev cam isn’t so bad.

But if you find one where you can switch 4 cams at will, plz let us know.

I think a physical (rotary) switch sending power to each camera (in turn, in series), would work. The video would be tied together into the single RCA plug. The Joying wouldn’t know the difference besides the occasional blip in the video signal. These cameras aren’t 4K with a HDMI interface. As long as the switch was break before make. :pccoffee:

Android screen organizers? Going down the Rabbit hole. “AGAMA” and “Car Launcher Pro” look decent.

My preference is AGAMA, it’s main drawback is it’s a Russian product. Also I don’t like the free but in app purchases.

CLP says $5.99 and it’s yours.

‘Anybody have any experience with android organizational apps?

I've used both of them. AGAMA seemed to have more quirks that I couldn't figure out and I went back to Car Launcher Pro that I've used for years and years. Pic of it on my former Taco.

I haven't put anything on the new one yet because I'm troubleshooting an issue. My screen resolution keeps lowering so that icons and text on the main screen and app menu overflow out of their icon boundaries. I **think it's happening after I run the in-app update for the USB dash cam. I have to do factory reset each time to get it.bacl to normal. On my second second test to see if not installing that software prevents the resolution issue from happening. This is on the 1080p 11.6" version

To be fair, they both have a few quirks you'll run into, but AGAMA had the more annoying one. An overlay that would pop up every time a new song played. And I couldn't get rid of it
