I just went to order the HU and on the page it shows the unit for $386, but during checkout it comes up as $420. I emailed them asking as to why? Maybe it is a 420 thing. LOL

A little frustration I'm hoping to solve, I've mapped the factory voice command button on the steering wheel to start the voice command on the Joying, but I use Android Auto 90% of the time and when I hit the voice command button, it brings up the voice command on the base Android Operating system instead of Android Auto. This is an issue becuase when I'm using Android Auto, I don't have my hot spot turned on and the Joying won't have internet. Has anyone found a way to prompt within Android Auto instead?

Well I pulled the trigger and bought the unit at regular price. Their support says they will reimburse me the difference. Fingers crossed...

    My issues so far:
-The Settings screen automatically prompted for every start up even when cleaning the cache.
-My personal Android phone connects only 50% of the time where my work I-Phone connects easier (both wired)
I reached out to Joying for assistance this morning. This reciever isn't perfect amd has some kinks to work out but it is still overall better than my predecessor.

How is it on wireless AA? I will say, surprisingly, wireless AA connects 99% of the time...sometimes too fast, I'll watch to just open the radio and before I can reach over and hit the button, AA loads. On wired, the connection will drop if the phone/cable slides around while driving.

I received today the HU plus the wiring harness for my car (non-JBL). I was following along the how to in the link below, but he mentions to connect the green wire that he runs from the glove box to the orange cable from the harness that says "back". Unfortunately on the harness that I received, there is no single cable with the word back on it. I only have male female rca lableled "rear view camera in" and one female labeled the same. Anyone come across this issue?

See Post 184,191,192 and 239-244 will explain how I added the backup camera without splicing into the factory harnesses. You will need the RED WOLF Harness so you can remove one of the wires and add it to the Joying Harness to make it so you don't have to splice into any factory wiring.

Have you attempted yet to install it? From some of the readings I have been doing, even on the comments from the video link above, it appears the Joying wiring harness was updated to include connection into our backup cameras. I’m going to try this morning and post back my findings

thank you for the info. I read all the posts you mention. Will get the wolf harness in case the Joying doesn’t work.

I went ahead and did the complete install, but backup camera does not work. Gives "missing signal". I went ahead and ordered the cable harness that Regnar recommended. Will post back afterI receive it and install it. Now onto learning the HU and figuring out how to program the steering wheel controls as they did not work even after I tried to program them.

Any recommendation in getting the steering wheel controls to work? I tried doing the programming of the buttons as listed on the video below, but when I press the steering wheel button, it appears the HU is not recognizing that I am pressing a button. I pretty much connected every plug to all the plugs that matched up. Anyone know which is the plug that controls the steering wheel so I can trace back and make sure it is connected since I had some plugs from the car that did not connect to the harness. thank you

    Update...

The harness that comes with the Joying now connects to your stock backup camera. I went back and checked all my connection. I clearly missed the male RCA from the harness into the female RCA coming out of the HU. duh... Lesson learned

Still can't get the steering wheels controls to work. Any suggestions let me know. Thank you

I have been at this all day. Trying to figure out the steering wheel controls. Tried programming but it is not liking it.
What I do notice within the Joying steering wheel setting without pressing any steering wheel buttons, it starts to flash between the message "please hold the button on the steering wheel into the learning state" and "Please select learning function button"
This flashes back and forth. I also found this link: https://www.joyingauto.eu/blog/post/how-to-connect-the-joying-car-stereo-back-wiring-cables/
And connected the wires trying both "Can-out and Can in" and "Can out and Key" and same thing.

I also read about the Canbus not set. I looked at factory setting and it is set to Null see picture attached.. I looked throughout all options and couldn't find one for Toyota Tacoma. I see for other Toyota models.
Any help or guidance greatly appreciated.

I restored it and everything works fine. To answer your question regarding AA. It works about 8/10 times since the restore.

Anyone have issues with the Bluetooth ring volume? It appears to be extremely loud when ringing. I don't see a way to adjust the volume. Logically it should be in the Bluetooth setting but to no avail. Anyone out there has this issue and resolved it, please let a brother know.
