I paid $345 shipped for a 9" Joying through EBay.
I've installed a few stereos over the years - this is the first time I haven't had to source a wiring harness or Dash kit. 'Saved' me $100 or so if you include the steering wheel control module.
This is for my 2005 Tacoma without JBL.
Some initial fitment issues, Joying customer service was surprisingly responsive through email and helped me sort it out.

I'm extremely happy with the unit.
I turn on WiFi hotspot on my phone and use the head unit's Spotify, Google Maps, and YouTube for the kiddos.
Android Auto works when I choose to use the 'Carlink' app, but I don't see the need.
Audio sounds great with the new front speakers I put in.
Surprisingly, I was able to map and use steering wheel controls too - awesome!
My only regret is not getting the 11.6" larger Joying head unit.

Custom fit, big screen, Android tablet-like capabilities, good sound, retain steering wheel controls, problem-free after 4 months so far.
Would 110% buy one of these again.

Anyone have issues with the external microphone that comes with the head unit? The sound quality is really poor. I hit up joying and they sent me an update, I think it actually made things worse.

I had better luck with the built in mic vs the external.

Thanks, I ended up unplugging it. Seems to be better. I’m really enjoying it, a bit of a learning curve running Android but nothing crazy.

Just received and installed the 8” version of this unit and was able to get this OBD II reader to work and so far works every time with Torque app installed. I just added it in BT after scanning and put in the code 1234 and voila it connected and started working.

I have a 2013 and so far everything works without a hitch including steering wheel controls. And got the backup camera to OEM working.

BTW - this radio is worth every penny vs other aftermarket ones for the same or more $. The Apple CarPlay wireless connection "connects" via Wifi and automagically connects when you touch/tap the CarPlay icon. I also have my wireless charger connected via USB and the voltage is enough to actually charge! Sound is excellent with so many tweaks to bass, equalizer etc. I attempted to comment on things that weren't already mentioned. I ordered mine off Ebay and it came in just under 2 weeks.

There are so many options with this radio, my head is currently swimming trying to figure them all out. Not the greatest instructions... ha ha.

My joying was worth every penny paid direct from them. It’s been working flawlessly for almost a year now.

You should be fine. Install was super easy. Don’t do any update to the unit though. Took a bunch of back and forth with Joying, but finally got things working again. My AM/FM Tuner wasn’t working at all.

Have a 2014 non JBL and not all of the steering wheel controls work. Everything but left, right, back and center on the left side.

Has anyone installed this with the factory access cab subwoofer? Would like to double check to ensure full functionality for my 2011 AC.

Anyone with a 2014+ Steering Wheel Controls get all the buttons to work on the left side? Really would like that back button to work.

Hold down the button on the wheel, then press the button on the screen you want. I can get some to work but not all register.

Sorry, that’s all I got. It all works on my ‘13, so no back button but non-JBL. Did you email Joying? Might be worth a shot just don’t expect a response until late at night with their hours.

Yeah contacted them, sent them a video of some buttons working some not. They asked me to unplug it and plug it back in, they weren't much help. I think it's just not set up for the 2.5gen with more buttons on the wheel.

Did you try another canbus Toyota setting? That’s the only possible option that is coming to mind.
