does the LRA tank fit the long bed, or have they developed a long bed version yet?

I had a ‘68 CJ Willys with only a 10 gallon tank and dual 5 gallon jerry cans…what a pain! Living in Colorado with lots of 4wd trails running in low range, my back got plenty of exercise refueling! I don’t enjoy the experience any more.
Luckily the Taco is much more fuel efficient. That said a bit larger tank and higher GVW would be nice. I fail to understand why my 2003 has a higher GVW than my 2015! Toyota is going backwards!

Similarly, I had a ford work truck with I think it was a 31 gallon tank. Now got a I think 25 gallon tank. And recently a 21 gallon.

Having the extra capacity, it’s nice filling up 1-2 times a week instead of 3-4 times. When short tripping, if gas prices are dropping, you can wait and fill up later when the price is lower.

My plan, if the price is rising, top off often. If the price is dropping wait until I can’t make the next trip without running out. I’ve never taken the time to figure out if I’m saving anything significant.

What about an aux tank? I've seen a few posts of those on here. I believe they run it as a transfer tank to the main. Some mount them in the bed but the spare tire area underneath looks like a good spot.
