2nd Gen Leather Interior OEM? Swap?

Did the 2nd gen TRD Sport ever come with leather/leatherette/vinyl? I didn't think so, but then I found this:

I have an '08 and think it would just swap out for my cloth....I've always wanted leather(ish, or whatever it is.)

 

My 2012 TRD Sport has heated leather seats......

 

That's good to know; thanks man. Any reason to think why the leather from a 2008 sport wouldn't be able to fit into a 2008 TRT off-road?

 

I can't speak to that but I took a picture of my seats to give you an idea, not sure it will be of value to you but thought I would send along just in case.

 

I don't remember those being listed as an available (factory) option on any of the packages. Did you buy your truck new, or is it possible a previous owner upgraded?

 

I have leather seats in my 2011 DCSB that I bought new. It was an option offered by South East Toyota.

 

I purchased the truck from the original buyer in 2013. There was no mention of an upgrade to the seats but it is possible.

 

I think that was a Canada option only, Eh?

 

save some headache of getting old/used and get some clazio seat covers. best $430 i have ever spent. plus you can customize it. honestly cannot tell they are seat covers.

 

I have seen dealers take a new car and have the leather added locally at an upholstery shop.- then add the Leather option on window invoice. Just to add another variable.
