My stupidity got the best of me. Posted on the wrong thread.

    Hey Guys,

I changed my lower console on my prerunner a few months ago. Mine only had the two cig lighter plugs and changed it to the 2.5 version with the small switch blanks.

My question is since my lower console didn't come with the USB/radio plug switch or A-Trac switch (not sure what this does either). Would those wires be tucked back there?

I'll be adding a rear locker to my prerunner soon and was hoping to run the illumination switch harness by RedsideElectric from Tacomabeast to piggyback off one of those switches instead of splicing up my wiring.

(Pulled the pic from internet for reference on the switches)

    Thanks in advance.

Doubtful, if your truck didn’t even have the possibility of switches there it’s unlikely to have the wires. The HVAC control plugs have both of them. My ‘14 had the switch console but no illumination and no wires for other controls. I used the instructions for niteyez to tap the illumination circuits.

I have an '07 Prerunner with (or should say HAD) with the stock 6 disc radio. There was no USB plug or even an aux plug with that unit. I did add an aux plug later, but have since changed out the stock head unit for a new aftermarket one. Picture for reference.

You can tap into the HVAC wires above for the tap for the lights.

OP, you can purchase the mating connectors and assemble a Y harness (so you don't go cutting/splicing any OEM wires)
