    What's up guys,

I have a question. My 2.0 (05-11) Tacoma SR5 PreRunner came with the lower console seen below and just recently upgrade it to the later 2.5 (12-15) model Tacoma lower console with the switches.

    2.0 (05-11)

I want to add switches in that location and thought about using Redside Electric's plug and play harness and Daisy Chain Harness. I've messaged Kyle (Redside Electric) and he currently isn't making custom harnesses that would work for my model. He did refer me to the guys over at FBC but they as well are tied up with current inventory.

Has any of you that have upgraded to the later model lower console have installed switches in that spot and what did you do or how did you wire your switches that would be easy to replicate?

    Where did you tap into?

Do any of you know if the wiring for the USB-AUX or A-TRAC like other models are back there?

I know Tacoma harness are similar within models. I liked the simplicity of just adding the harness without cutting or splicing where you can reverse the wiring back to stock

    I appreciate the help.

I installed a dual switch for my roof light bar and ditch lights there on my 2015. I hardwired them to the battery. It was a tight squeeze to get the wires through, I actually pulled the power wire out of the switch because the inline fuse got caught. I messed up the soldering job and shorted the switch, and had to buy a new one. Sorry for the off topic there.

I used a coat hangar to fish the wires through from the left side underneath by the pedals. I would recommend fishing them through before hooking up the switch. All in all, it wasn't too hard.

Where did you splice the illumination wires to?

I didn't. It is optional, I only have it illuminate when the switch is powered on. It doesn't really bother me, and I didn't want to splice anything, since I had already messed the switch up.
