    Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbee on this forum. I have a maint. required light that will NOT go out.
I have a code scanner and it gives me a P0031. That means Oxygen sensor heater control circuit, Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 1).
I have changed both O2 sensors
I have confirmed that the A/F Heater relay works
    The OBD fuse is good
I went to my local Toyota dealership and talked them into printing a schematic for me and I was able to check continuity of the wires for sensor 1 (Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor ) … Wires are intact.
I clear the code and it just comes back on after a few seconds.
If anyone out there has ever experienced this and have a solution, PLEASE, BY ALL MEANS, let me in on it. Please can anyone help???

You're saying clearing this code makes the "Maint Req'd", as in it specifically says those words, light go out? Are you sure it's not the check engine light, an actual picture of an engine. the CEL light comes on when there are diagnostic trouble codes.

Did the 09's have the light? I've never seen it come on, and I change my oil every 10,000 kms with mobile 1 synthetic.

Just stating fact , read into it what you will ma'am

If I had to guess , at some point somebody down there probably sued a vehicle manufacturer for them not knowing that they had to change their oil

Shit, I knew coffee was hot but I have to change my air and put oil in my tires? Toyota sucks and I'm moving on to Doges.

Tried this task, did not work for me on my 2007
This is directly from the owners manual Section 1-6 "Operation of the Instruments and Controls" under "Service reminder indicators and warning buzzers" Subsection G "Engine Oil Replacement Reminder Light" page 150

Clearing the "Maint Reqd" light on 2005 and up Tacoma's

This light acts as a reminder to replace the engine oil.

This light will come on when the ignition key is turned to "ON" and will go off after about a few seconds.

When you drive for about 7200 km (4500 miles) after the engine oil replacement this light illuminates for about 3 seconds and then flashes for about 12 seconds with the ignition key turned to the "ON" position. If you continue driving without replacing the engine oil, and if the distance driven exceeds 8000 km (5000 miles), the light will come on after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position. The light will remain on thereafter.

If the light is flashing, we recommend that you replace the engine oil at an early opportunity depending on the driving and road conditions. IF the light comes on, replace it as soon as possible.

The system must be reset after the engine oil replacement. Reset the system by the following procedure:

    1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the odometer reading shown (For details, see "Odometer and two trip meters" on page 143 in this Section.) (Note 2: 2011 + models may require using the TRIP A reading)
    2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter knob.

Hold the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off.

If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing[/QUOTE]

Just FYI, you DO have to use 'Trip A' to reset a 2013 model.

So this happened to me when I was around 4500 miles and I reset the light but now I'm at 14,500 miles and I see the flashing light again. Should I be concerned? I did get an oil change not to long ago, but this never happened on the last oil change I had received.

I get my oil change done at valvoline so you sit in the car while they do their thing. I'm just confused because it didn't come on the oil change prior. And the last time the maint reqd light came on was at 4500 miles and now it's back on at 14500 miles. That's a 10,000 mile difference I would have figured it would come on every 5k miles.

Nope. It's the ODO on a Tacoma.
My Rav-4 trip A is used.
