Long story short, I've got 4 broken ribs and couldn't do this install myself. I couldn't put it off any longer because the TOB was about to explode. The shop that did the install wasn't even close to my standards. When I asked about the cover they told me it wouldn't go back on. They've been giving me the run around and now I'm going to have to tear it all down and do it myself anyway just to fix all their fkups.

I'm still missing an entire exhaust bracket, the cover, and the bolts for it. They felt the need to hammer the dust plug in and it sliced the o-ring. The hose is completely unsecured, rubs the wiring harness, wires on the O2 sensor, and is laying against the catalytic converter. They reused the factory bolts, ignoring the new ones that came with the flywheel, I can't tell if they replaced the rear main seal or used the new exhaust gaskets, there's grease all over inside the bell housing, and I don't have any reason to believe anything was torqued to spec. They also went through my glove box and stole 3 of my 4 prescription lidocaine patches.

New clutch chatters in neutral with the clutch pedal out and makes random clunks and clatters. So yeah, I'm pretty pissed about the whole thing.

Pedal feels great though. Love the heavy flywheel, too.

I told him he has until close of business to agree to my terms. If he doesn't reply I'm calling the cops about the prescription drug theft. Schedule a redo with Toyota, they already agreed to go through everything and note any discrepancies. And I'll begin the process for small claims court.

dang that sucks man so sorry to hear that a shop would treat someone that way. I will grab a picture of the cover when I get home but it's a small metal cover that bolts on and seals that hole up, it has a small rubber gasket glued to it, and is kind of an odd shaped piece of stamped steel.

As for that noise, that sounds like the pressure plate fingers are contacting your new hose lines possibly? Either that or something internal to the transmission like an idler gear.

We finished @HomerTaco 's truck up late last night and he was on his way this morning. Clutch pedal feels amazing compared to the old setup and no more squeaky.

Brake light came on this morning. Hmmm. Low fluid maybe? Yup.

Bearing is leaking. Didn’t make it 2k miles.

I’m beside myself at this point. So pissed, I’m not even mad. Just wish I’d never heard of this company before. @406cruiser you know these guys. What do you suggest I do?

Pics were taken inside the bell housing after I’d brake cleaned the shit out of things in there and then had an assistant pump the clutch a few times to confirm.

That’s no good! Is it leaking from the actual bearing or could it be from a braided cable connector?

I can’t see the top of the braided lines. But, as my helper was pumping the pedal, I could see fluid building up around the black bearing seal a bit more with each stroke.

Received mine a few weeks ago and I’m planning to install. Hopefully it’s not an issue leaking. Sorry that happened to you...

can you sneak a endoscope in there to see if the if its the fittings that are leaking ? I hope thats the case, otherwise us that have this installed are rolling on a ticking time bomb. good thing I didn't throw away my URD hydrobearing kit...

Best pic I can muster with the scope. But, the top of the bearing is dry.
I'm noting obvious distortion to the rubber seal/boot which is where the leak is coming from.

Looks like it didn't get seated all the way when it was assembled. Might be the camera angle (I just used my phone) but it looks like your bearing has less air gap than mine as well.
