I bought an 05 DC short bed TRD OffRoad SR5(Speedway Blue) with 25000 on it about a month ago and I have never been more happy. I have yet to have any problems of any kind. You will really like it. I paid $20,000 for it and haven't looked back. I am going to be doing the headlight mod in the next month or so, it looks great with my color. It's so hot out here that doing anything besides sitting in the pool with a beer is torture. I gotta get my girl to get out of the pool with her bikini and get some pics of the truck as I haven't done it yet, slacker, i know. Anyway, I digress. You will love the truck just as I do.

I coulda had the TRD for not much more really,But I didn't care for the stiff ride. The plain SR5 Sport. with limited slip and tow package will work fine the beaches of NC. Too each his own or whatever works for you!;)

I've been driving a Beamer with Bilstein sport suspension for the past 7 years, the TRD suspension is like driving a lazy boy in comparison. It may be stiff for what most truck owners are use to but i always thought it felt soft. guess thats just from the transistion from vehicles.

I just bought a 2011 Tacoma trd sport 4x4 double cab short bed and I love it. The other day I tested the 4wd low and it's very impressive compared to my last 4x4 (97 gmc seirra 4x4 v8 ext cab), will post pics soon of my new ride. Thanksgiving weekend I am working out the kinks to go camping and minor trails riding at an hidden falls adventure park in marble falls Tx
