    It's DLX son!
Thanks for the update @Iggy , I'm not running hood struts, but was thinking about adding them. Are they a no go with the battery in the passenger side corner?

I could forgo the struts if that's the case.

I have the redline struts too. Just thinking of a slight redesign of the tiedown, but it might not work with the hood struts. I’ll keep it the same.

I don't know what the hood struts are, so if it's an aftermarket thing, nope don't have it!

Depending on the price for just the lower plate only. I cant justify $175 to hold my compressor

Still down, but getting tight on time. Will have to bail and make my own soon to have my dual battery system ready for a trip at the end of May.

Yeah, First Thursday of June I'm picking up my Habitat. Really want done before I head out for it. Everything is waiting in a pile in the garage to install. Two trips scheduled for the next couple weekends after, including the NW Overland rally. Hope it all works out!

    Hi Guys,

I'm working on these right now. I redesigned the tray to be one piece as opposed to two and welded. I'll be getting some quotes with powdercoat.

I'll try and wrap this up this week.

    Thanks!

Question in the meantime - when you say it's designed for the optima group 27 batteries, will most other group 27 batteries fit? Or, are the Optima's that seem to be a little shorter than other manufacturers required because of hood clearance?

    Thanks!

I'm thinking I better get that optima on the charger... it's sad just sitting there in the garage with no place under the hood of the Taco yet... @Iggy , maybe you can cheer it up with some good news?? (other than your awesome new camper is selling like hotcakes :))
