The CL6 module and the 12v module kit looks like it uses the same app.

Whatever the best price is go for it. I can also say I called 12 volt solution help desk due to aftermarket radio and maestro RR2 issues thinking to much tied into the obd2 may be part of it. witch it was unrelated but covered all bases and the owner called me back himself great customer service. Don’t get me wrong I paid for the kit I really didn’t shop around but dealing with them wasn’t a pain in the ass either.

I'm going to rewire my tailgate lock and remove it from the the door lock wires and add them as an auxiliary function sometime this year if i can figure it out. I hate hearing that loud ass pop n lock everytime I lock/unlock the doors.
After I tackle that, I just might hook up Aux 2 & 3 to roll windows up and down. I'm not there yet. Has anyone used any of the Aux functions?

12V is a great company and they have great customer service. I complained my initial long range remote kept coming apart after dropping it once or twice and they sent me two new ones right away no cost. Which was also during a busy busy Christmas time of year.

Hey all, first time poster. I spent the last couple of weeks searching high and low for the best plug-and-play remote start to install on my 2015 Tacoma TRD before moving from the west coast to Michigan. Thanks to the message boards, I ended up going with the 12V solutions kit. They has excellent customer service and shipped the kit on a Friday and it arrived on Monday. I added the recommended CarLink smartphone control from Amazon for $120 after realizing that it was the exact same one that 12 volt sells. I ended up saving about $40 doing this, even from the sale price 12V is currently having. Never installed a remote start before, but did have some experience removing panels and plastic from previously doing window tinting. I was able to accomplish everything in the parking lot of my apartment with nothing more than a couple screwdrivers (one phillips and one flathead) and a 10 mm socket. Would highly recommend the youtube videos that 12V puts out. It was tough to tell exactly what I was unplugging and plugging into based on the print-outs they provided. There is a solid video on youtube. Unfortunately, neither the directions or the video talks about putting everything back together. I found that starting with the steering-wheel area was the easiest. So far, so good. Programming was a piece of cake and everything starts as it should, including from my phone and apple watch.

The last thing I need to do is figure out where to permanently hide the long-range remote receiver. I've ran it up through the door housing, like they say to, but I think the flashing blue light could get annoying. Any suggestions on where to install or how to get rid of the blinking light other than to throw some black tape over the top?

Looking forward to installing some heated seats next to combat those cold Michigan mornings.

Piece of cake. Hook it up. Let it get in sync with the network and then punch in the serial number. I had no issues.

Hey guys I was on the 12V site and about to pull the plug when i see they want me to check to see if I have an immobilizer ring or not. I watch the short video on how to check. Seems easy enough. Get out to my truck and turn it on, turn the steering wheel to remove the screws, turn the ignition off and try with a pry Panel tool to pull down on that plastic piece and I’ll be damned if it isn’t stubborn as all get out. I cannot get the thing to go below my ignition to check. Any tips/best practices, etc. I have a 2008 TRD sport DC. If I have to access this for the install I may be hosed. And i wouldn’t call myself a wimp with pulling on panels either

thanks do you or anyone have any advice on how to remove the panel around the ignition and steering wheel? I found it very difficult and I have removed other panels before. I'm assuming i'll have to access the immobilizer during the install ?
