    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
Dang that's a lot of $$$ for a remote start, I can't stretch my budget to meet that cost. I got kids to feed.

After using the 12volt kit for a month or so I like the pitstop feature as much or more than the remote start feature.

@jbaker1976 my kit has been shipped. I was doing some looking on the website and went to the Support Hub which they recommended prior to install. When I tried selecting the vehicle toyota absolutely NOTHING comes up on the website. am I missing something or is there nothing to this support hub ? I'm new to electrical wiring so I like to look at these things a few times and a bit ahead of any install. thanks ! if you happen to have any links which u foudn most helpful that would be great! I got the long range kit and did not add the smart phone module at this time. did you say you bought a diff smart phone module off Amazon ?

I think you need to create an account to access the support hub and log in. I did buy the cell phone module from Amazon. I think the li k is posted somewhere in this thread.

@jbaker1976 did u buy the smart phone module before u installed the kit or did u install It and then add that later on ? Just received the kit and wondered if that’s something u wanna install during the initial install or if it’s a pain to add something like that on later on.

I bought the smart phone module from Amazon a few weeks after I installed the remote start. I had to pull the panels again. But that was no big deal.

I think I paid 110 for it and it looks like its gone up to 128 now.

Just saw one on Amazon for $110. ASCL6 or something ? What do your remotes look like? Both of mine say Prestige on them. Just hoping i got the right thing. I chose the long range option on the checkout.

sounds good. the one someone posted on Amazon will also work with the apple watch right ?
here's the one I was looking at. Do I need any other connectors or parts or will this plug and play into the 12volt harnesses /module ?
The reason I ask is this disclosure is listed on amazon for the product:
"Attention: If installing with any of the VOXX brands (Prestige, Pursuit, CodeAlarm) the Alarm/Remote start module must be updated to the latest firmware version. The will require the VOXX USB updating cable, Part# VEPROG Prestige/Pursuit: Please visit veprog to update to the latest firmware version. "

    thanks so much again.

I don't have any experience with Apple products. But all the specs I have read indicate it will work.
The cell phone module comes with the wire harness you need. It was literally plug and play. Just had download the app and input the serial. It was super easy.

Thanks man I really appreciate your support and help with my stupid questions! apologies in advance. did you have any trouble with the A pillar or tucking the modules ? how did you secure them? I saw on one video he puts the long range thing up by the rear view mirror and tucks the cable into the headliner and A pillar. did you have any issues with that or do it that way? he mentioned something about the airbag in the pillar that semi worried me. also, with the piece of plastic by the ignition, how did you get that off? I was trying to mess with it the other day to see if I had the immobilizer or not and could NOT get that thing down below the ignition. maybe I wasn't pulling hard enough but it didn't seem mechanically to want to be stressed that way. thanks again.

Your welcome. I used double-sided foam tape to mount both antennas onto the inside of A pillar trim. I ground some of the plastic off the A pillar with a Dremel tool so the antennas would lay flat. If the airbag goes off I'm guessing the A pillar trim is going to snap too. I think they mention the airbag out of caution and insurance purposes. Run the wires along the sheet metal and just dont tangle them up in the airbag and i think you'll be fine.. The steering column cover just snapped loose. Try using a little more pressure. Apply equal pressure on each side if you have too.

well my first attempt at install was a bust haha. Got to the very last step where you plug in the power lock harness and it was a bitttttch of a plug to get to. basically there are 2 plugged into the door jamb that are so hard to get to and of course I End up getting the wrong one unplugged and can’t get the other one unplugged for my harness. The top of my hand had already gotten cut up earlier getting in a tight space. Long story short I close my door to go inside and clean it up and get a bandaid and I hear this crunch sound. Part of the harness was caught in the door and it completely shattered the plug plastic housing and clip. ‍♂️. I was sooooo close. And hey here I sit with dash torn to shreds and no remote start. a quick phonecall to 12volt solutions and they are shipping me out that part of the harness that I need. man luckily it's a piece that's separate from the main t harness.. I can definitely say there are some TIGHT spaces to get into for plugging in these harnesses. the main ignition one was so rigid and stiff it took an act of congress to get it hooked in a certain fashion to plug in the harness. oh well. hopefully I can resume operations and get that one piece unplugged... anyone with a 2nd gen that has any tips for that last section please I am all ears. bc it is a MOTHER. I don't exactly have the best luck tho either

I’m pretty sure I just used a flat head screwdriver on the clip and pull on the wires to get the harness out. The hardest on for me was the OBD Harness

@Regnar that one was tough for me too! I hope that I put it back in right but I didn't really get a satisfying CLICK when I put the clip back into the original OBD spot. everything seemed so damn tight with these things without much give. So you used a screwdriver to pry away the clip for the lock harness ? I'm guessing that's what i'm gonna have to use. I tried unclipping that thick harness piece that he shows in the video to move to the side and thought that someone had used a zip tie around it when installing my stereo so I cut that and still wasn't able to move it away... i'll have to find something to try and get it away b/c I would definitely love more room to work with there. of course I would have unplugged the one that wasn't the right fit for our clip. damn.. oh well I guess at least a large portion of the install is done, but I fear i'll have problems finishing her up given i'm at a critical stage... sigh.....

I do remember that harness. It was a pain to get loose. It was deep back in there. That sucks man. I hope your luck improves.
