It will be tomorrow when I call. I have to hunt down order number, etc. Thanks for the response. FWIW, I have the Dot key 2010. I say that just to state it took me forever to figure out it was an actual dot, like a period or point, rather than DOT like Dept of Transportation. :homer::facepalm:

From what distance do these remotes work? The parking lot at my job is about 100 yards away from the entrance / my desk.

*edit* I know the kit says 1000 / 2000 feet - but can people confirm this?

I’ve got a 2015 Tacoma G-key, I recently got a fortin evo and the t-harness. I followed their wiring diagram and Had the problem with truck cranking but not running. I enabled option 20.2 (tac less signal) with the fortin data link. Programmed the evo unit did not connect the can bus lines (grey wire and grey and black wire) and the truck started up and ran perfectly. Hopefully this helps if someone is having issues with the fortin kit.

    what are those?
is there any issue with the accessorides working with aftermarket head unit and maestro units seeing this uses the OBD ports? I think I read there isnt here but wanted to make sure before I pull the plug.

also what are most people running the 1 way or 2 way remote, not really sure if the 2 way is worth the extra money...

I have the 12V kit, but I’d imagine they function similarly regarding the ODB port. I have no problems with my head unit that reads out of the ODB port with the remote start installed.

2-way is worth it for sure. Doesn’t matter so much in your driveway where you can visually see the vehicle starting. It does become useful when you’re in a store/building and don’t have line of sight to the vehicle. That feedback that your vehicle started is nice.

Not sure about the Accessorides, but with my 12V the factory beeping that the truck does is disabled. Another argument for the 2-way is that you get feedback to confirm your vehicle locked/unlocked.

man, winter is approaching and i don't know what to do. My 12 volt solution remote start worked perfectly for one season. but now, out of the blue, it just doesn't crank the truck anymore... when i try to start it with the remote or app, the light on the dash will come on but it won't crank the truck. the door lock/unlock function works fine. if i manually start the truck, i can still use the function to leave it running and take the keys out. thats about it.

Where did you mount the long range antenna unit? On the windshield or inside the A pillar? Thanks.

I mounted the long range at the top up the A-pillar after I removed the trim. I can see it blink thru the plastic at the top of the windshield at night.

Great. Thanks for responding here. Do you see any issues with range? I don't need 1 mile, but I do want transmission through buildings and maybe 500 feet. I appreciate your help here. The remote kit arrives today. Can't wait to install.

I wasn't concerned much about range either. I did think the range would be longer than it is. I can totally live with it, just thought it would be farther. I do like the 2 way remote feedback to let me know if it started. I have been using the heck outta the pitstop feature.
