also TIL the antenna for the 12v solutions generates just enough heat (probably via the LEDs) that it keeps the frost at bay.

Ok, so the wire color and pin location on the male and female blue connectors line up. I followed the 05-10 install video to see plug location for the pedal and wire routing. Connected the white connector to the only place on the module where it looked like it would fit (which was also white). I then picked up the programming steps where it stopped working for me originally. Tested the system and the truck fired right up!

I figured if it didn't work, I'd try connecting the blue connectors to each other, but that wasn't necessary.

So far: 2.5" Icon Lift, Steel Front bumper, steel rear bumper, Cali Raised Bed Stiffener, 12Volt.Solutions remote start, Stereo upgrade, A Pillar Ram Mounts, BAMF Behind the grill light mount with Sylania 20" bar; KB Voodoo Max 22" Rack, CVT Awning, Decked drawer system, pod lights
Took advantage of the nice weather here in PA yesterday and installed this. Took about 3 hours all told. This included troubleshooting after buttoning everything back up and it no longer working. Stupid me, I forgot to re-attach the antenna wire (long range kit) after routing it through the headliner (even though the video instructions tell you to plug it back in).

I ended up exacerbating a crack in the driver's side kick panel so i'll have to get another one of those.

The biggest delay came from the initial jankiness of the website, although that probably had more to do with my connection.

2nd longest delay came from trying to get to the plugs that go to the door locks. They're really tucked in behind the wire loom. The instruction video mentions that it has "very little slack", but it doesn't mention that it's really recessed into a hole. I had to remove one of the wire brackets in order to reach the two plugs that go through into the door. On top of that, these plugs was taped closed so I had to remove the tape before i could get at the plugs.

That being said, this is y first remote start in any vehicle and it's amazing. I like how you can get in and "take over" using the key and the brake pedal and my dog will happy for the "pit stop" mode when we go hit the trails.

Just finished installing my 05-09 @Accessorides kit. It was very simple everything worked on the first try.

the door lock plug was nearly impossible. There was absolutely no slack. The plug was basically inside the body panel. After a while I finally got it unplugged, then the plug fell in the body panel. I had to remove the blue plastic, then Remove the door panel and push outward to get a little bit of slack, still only was able to get the plug half way out of the hole.

finding a place to mount the “brain” was challenging, also the wire loom is very thick and I had a rough time getting the dash/dash door back in smoothly. All said and done everything works great

Does the accessorides kit install like the 12voltsolutions one? Ive watched the 12volt videos but not seen one of accessorides for the 12-15 trucks.

where does their antenna connect into also?

I installed my Accessorides kit this weekend. The door plug was a PITA. I ended up using a pick to detach it, and then supported the plug from behind as I plugged in the new harness. All in all, the install was smooth, with no hiccups. Instructions were very good. I did patch into the horn wire and install the hood pin. My kit came with a random orange wire. Not sure what that one is for.

Just ordered from 12vsolutions for my 2012. Recently moved to an area that actually gets cold in the winter and told myself this would be one of my first upgrades this spring.

Edit - Received shipping notification 2.5 hours after placing the order!

The door connection was certainly the hardest part, but I eventually got the factory harness separated using a long flathead screwdriver and a pick. All the wiring is connected and the truck runs and drives! I called it a night before I ran through the initial controller system checks / programming, but I think 12voltsolutions did a great job on their video series and it looks pretty straightforward. The only constructive feedback I have is that there was no mention of the brake harness in the video series for the 2.5 gen. I re-watched the harness and installation videos so many times thinking I missed something, then thought to come back to this thread and luckily found someone recommending to watch an earlier installation video to see where it connects. All in all, I'd say it's a great product, the installation wasn't too bad, and I'd definitely recommend it. Especially thinking back to a remote start I installed that wasn't plug n play back around 2005!!!

Finally got around to programming the unit today and everything was perfect. Thanks again! Would definitely recommend.

For people with the 12Volt system. Did your Fob ever stop making the turn on/off Chimes? My lock and unlock beeps work, but the chimes dont anymore. Ive had it for almost 2 years now.

    Sometimes.

It usually still makes the chime, but not always. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I sometimes it the button a second time for peace of mind.
