Question for the 05+ taco owners,
(I did not want to post this in the tech section since that section deals with all generation's.) I have noticed in the last couples years since I have bought my tacoma new, that when sitting in the garage (cold motor) I can hear a small motor,or solenoid running for a time period. This noise is not all the time, and no problems with the truck, just gets too me after awhile and wondering what it could be. Toyota can not tell me either (like any stealership can with out verification from them). What could it be, has anyone ran into this as well? I have owned multiple pickups(pre-tacoma), 4runners, and pre 05 tacomas and never heard this noise (since is is a new setup from previous).

(All most sounds like a diesel pump)

If it sounds like something is working that's good; better than if it sounds like something isn't working.

My 4cyl does the same. I'm guessing its the vacuum pump for the fuel tank (emissions crap).
