Think the updated steering controls will play nice with a 13?

 

Yes, they should 12-15.

 

From what I’ve read you will need to string an additional wire to make full use of the 14/15 steering wheel controls. I do not believe it is plug and play (for complete use).
Not too difficult from what I’ve read.
Check the threads there are more than a few write ups on this.
