I purchased 2nd gen old style oem running boards and installed them on my 2019. They were only $299 from eBay. I had to slightly enlarge the bracket bolt holes with a Dremel so I could easily line up and thread the bolts into the frame by hand. I had these same boards on my 2013 and loved them. They tuck up high so they don’t reduce ground clearance and don’t scrape your leg skin off like other designs. They should make it easier to reach the roof and protect against door dings. Most online resources say they won’t fit but they do as you can see.

Yeah it’s a good solution. I like them too. I took one off my 2006 tacoma and it bolted up fine. I like them better than these. They don’t stick out as far.

I like both of these. I'm not all that crazy about my Predators honestly...

    hey, not bad.

Everyone keeps saying that about the predator steps. What are ya'll doin? Get a running start or wearing a blind fold? lol. I open the door, step on the step, sit my butt down, click my feet together like wizard of oz to shake all the crap off outside the truck, then pivot and start rolling cuz I forgot to set the brake... I mean.. close the door and drive off safely. And I only got one real leg!

Those brackets are adjustable, no need to make the holes bigger. Put the same ones on my 19 as well

    Hmm...
I open the door, smile all giddy and say hi to my truck, then I want to say I reach in for the steering wheel with my arm just for the balance no weight added and then I step in and find myself sitting haha second leg followed in right after from the motion, then it's door handle...man now I can't picture it lol how the heck do I get in...

Edit: okay so.. I just tried it lol and I literally just.... Get in :p I opened the door leg in and sat down, I realized this because I had a coffee a bag a purse a phone and a tangerine all in my hands so no steering wheel step or grab bar assist, spider long legs I guess!

Oh yea, forgot to mention I added the grab handle on the drivers side cuz Toyota hates drivers and prefers passengers... Another mod you will learn about in your time spent dwelling here. So I open the door first, grab then handle, then step on the step.... Grabbing the steering wheel to pull myself in was like nails on a chalk board. Especially when the vehicle is running... don't know why but the truck loves to give it about .002 rpm when you move the steering wheel at idle in park. Drove me nuts. I actually got a stare in the local grocery store parking lot like this lady thought I was reving trying to race her mini-van. I mean... I was, but not the point...

    Hahaha gold
That was the first mod I looked into this week I swear! I saw the passenger grab handle and was like what the heck Where's mine Where's mineee! Mostly for symmetry, surprised its not detecting an imbalance on the sensor with the grab bar only on one side, ha. Seriously tho I felt that movement too off the steering wheel, it was in the back of my mind (grabbargrabbar) but I'm probbably still high off the adrenaline of the new truck to care too much
