Hello all. Been kicking around the idea of lowering my 3rd gen on air ride suspension. I know, it might seem sacrilegious to some. But I’ve seen a handful of renders online and I’d like to dive down that route. As there isn’t a lot of information online that I’ve found or pre made kits for this. I was wondering if I’d be able to piece together a kit from a 2nd gen Tacoma to at least get me close to a working air ride. I know fabricating a fitting will be necessary but I’d like to not have to start from scratch if possible. If the mounting points are way off I’ll just wait until I have more time and money to build from scratch but I’m a bit impatient. Any information on this would be much appreciated.

2nd gen suspension will fit on a 3rd gen. Putting 3rd gen front coils on a second gen will lift a 2nd gen 1”, so the opposite should lower a 3rd gen 1” in the front only. Hope this helps.

They are the same truck, it will work, and as mentioned will immediately lower the truck by 1" by OEM standards.

I don't know how low you can get a 3rd gen, but the rear is super easy, just do an leaf spring flip.
