Eh useless. Though I see your point... but something more realistic would be making a real TRD edition instead of the "fake" TRD we have now. I'd envision a real TRD Off-Road to have TRD bead locks to start with, TRD Skid (though, redesign it to be a real skid), real trail armor, TRD supercharger, ect.

    You get the idea.

The sport should have a real mechanical LSD like it used to, trd supercharger and make the hood scoop actual functional to force air into an intake or into an intercooler like subie does. Those packages would make real sense to me, more than just some nice options that I'd still pay for (seats, ect).

So essentially what the OP wants is a Tacoma that will lose Toyota money. Invest all that money in R&D and parts/labor for a truck that 1% of the Tacoma demographic would buy. I wouldn't be the least bit interested in that truck.

Are you talking about my post requesting the "TRD - Toyota RACING Developement models have the supercharger and the sports to make the fake hood scoop actually usefull that's already there that would cost them about $20 per truck to fix?" Yea, perhaps you should re-read what I said.

Also for the record, I did buy a sports car, check out my "what I drive"

My guess is he's talking about the guy who wanted direct injection, etc...I don't remember the name of the thread, but that's the other "what Toyota should build" thread that I remember.

    Good luck with the Stealth...

ok, lets just say toyota could build a limited tacoma with a straight axle and manual hubs/transfer case and leave off all the other stuff like the lift and us buyers could modify everything else ourselves.. just the straight axle and hubs, that sounds reasonable.

yeah, you're right that the raptor is overpriced and not that great but a large majority of people in this country are what i call "sheeple" and follow any low quality trendy thing. i'm just saying that toyota could maybe just build a limited edition taco with a straight axle and man hubs or something and maybe leave all the other mods to us buyers.....and the recalls i only partially believe some of that hype, i think every company has a couple runaway vehicles on occasion and probably not always the fault of the vehicle..but people are gullable with neg press stuff and toyota may have to work hard to earn business again, really sad since i've always loved them..
