IMG_1774.jpg Hello beautiful community, I have an oil leak that I don’t actually know where it’s coming from, but when I see it, it looks like it’s coming from my ignition coils and passenger side of the engine where gasket sits . But I never lost a drop of oil. And when I check my dipstick oil level is excellent always even at the next oil change time. Idk if this is normal tho for 4 cylinder Tacomas.

update: good news I pulled all 4 ignition coils and they are dry as desert ️. What are you suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like maybe a valve cover gasket?
    Pictures?

Looks like a seep more than a leak.
I’d wait until it gets worse, before doing a valve cover gasket.
But that’s just me, I don’t always do things when I should, or how I should.

Pop a coil out and see if it's full of oil, if it is I'd do the valve cover gasket sooner than later but if they are dry you can wait till it get's worse if you like.

Yea and the good thing is I don’t see oil drops anywhere underneath it, and I don’t loose single drop from the dipstick level. So What this Leak could be is beyond me. I hope it’s nothing . Yea I’ll wait as it was like that for months now. It didn’t change.

That small amount of oil loss wouldn't show up on the dipstick but if it leaks into the spark plug tubes you will end up with a misfire.
It's an easy to pop out a coil and check, could save you future headaches.

Looks like valve cover gasket to me. Replaced mine at around 130k miles, not a super difficult job, but it is kind of tedious. I didn't have any discernible loss of oil, but it was seeping like yours. I let it go for a while until it started leaking enough to run down the side of the block.

If it was under warranty yes but 07 is long out of warranty.

    Maybe, maybe not.
Your options are keep an eye on it.
    Or fix it.

You’d probably be wise to at least pull the coils and see if there is oil on them, like Dm93 said.

You can let it go as long as you like. If you notice loss of oil or misfiring, then I’d suggest changing, but otherwise it’s not a major issue.

Pull this hose off and make sure the end isn’t cracked. May need replacing if so, and that might also be a source of your oil seep/leak

Looks like a threaded insert for a bolt, probably for another engine application.

^^This is it. Not used for anything in the Tacoma, just a threaded insert like DM93 mentioned

How many miles? Normally, unless it has 200,000+ miles, about the only thing that ever leaks on this engine is the valve cover gasket and it starts as a seep. When you're seeing more wetness or deposits or drips on the driveway: address it. The second most common leak is the oil pan/gasket. (maybe) It succumbs to corrosion (the pan itself) and starts to seep and drip. They don't seem to leak anywhere else, and unless they have been beat to death or abused, don't burn any oil either.
