but anyhow, I finished the jack mounts

I left room so that it's still possible to mount a shovel or something else on there.

also the jack gets locked into long bolts that are welded to the bar, so it's on there pretty sturdy:cool:

Is it possible to just flip the bar so the jack is on the bottom? Just worried about breaking out the back window if you were wheeling hard. I know you said it's sturdy, just would like to mitigate the possibility.

yah, it's totally possible. Or you can move the bar farther forward, it doesn't have to be at the back of the bed (thats just were most people will put it)

Also, can this one be flipped flopped so that the bar actually mounts below the top of the bed?

yep, it might be a little hard to squeeze it in there cuz yours fits rather snug in the bed rails (makes it easier to install it since it'll stay in place and let you use both hands to bolt it in).

but they fit both ways. this makes it possible for people with covers over their bed to have one

    Matt,
I received the bar yesterday and I am very, very pleased!

You did a great job with the craftsmanship and design! Not to mention great packing and shipping!

I put my hi lift in there and it fit like a glove- I have the black hi lift.

When I get some time I'll get it into the bedrails after I get it powdercoated. I'm getting the offroad sliders from Brandon in a week or so and wanted to take everything at once to get primed and painted.

Great job! Anyone that is considering a FIRST RATE quality hi lift - Rugged Mount for the bed rails - Look no further. I feel naked without my hi lift in the Azbackcountry- NO LONGER!

Sweet Doug, I'm really glad you like it:D

Can't wait to see it all finished up and on your truck!

Sorry i didn't send you the shipping #, the guy said it would only take a day to ship so i figured if I didn't hear from you by today then i'd send it to you....but looks like you don't need it!

I'm glad the jack fits perfect, it fit great on mine but i wasn't sure if they were all the same. Hopefully you like the way the jack mounts, i wasn't sure if you'd like the way that it doesn't sit directly over the bar or not, but i wanted to give you plenty of space to have other options like mounting a shovel or something else underneath it.

Could you make something similar to this but with the bar sitting between the 2 bolts and the bar the same diameter as a Yakima round bar? I'm trying to find something that I could mount my Yakima attachments to in the bed but can't seem to find anything. How much do you think you could put on your bars?

yah, i can make it sit between the bolts

whats the diameter of the Yakima bar?

I don't have a max weight that the bar will take, but i know the 1.75" bar can hold over 140 lbs
