Over the past few months researching how to fix the rusted out rocker panels on my 2006 taco, I've seen a bunch of interest in this topic and very few fully documented solutions. I've seen a lot of "repairs" on here, but what really caught my eye was jeep owners using tubular steel. Here are some photos of the rust I'm dealing with and how I plan to fix it.

    Same crap everyone else got
did you get a new frame? Even your leaf springs look fine. How is your body so rusted? Did you just buy this truck or how watched this develop over time?

I purchased it about 7 yrs ago, and a new frame was put on before I bought it from the original owner (who lived in VT). Rocker panels rusted from the inside out, most likely from salty snow. Never really noticed it until recently because paint was bubbling. Luckily living in Oregon has slowed the progress of the rust.

    Hello
Did you ever weld those tubes in ?
I am interested in what finished product looks like. Thinking of trying myself.
