Nope...where I am the sun is in the southern sky this time of year, especially in the afternoon... Driving due west the sun is in corner of windshield/between A pillar and side mirror

ARB lockers and 4.88s front and rear, OME 886s, Dakars, etc., Safari Snorkel, 17"Fuel Revolvers w/ 35x12.50r17 KM2s, fenders cut 3" all around, Pioneer AVH-P4400BH w/ Backup cam, CB/PA (PA Installed), Weathertech Digis, Foglight anytime, AP: front bumper, skids, and pack rack, custom sliders, Warn 9.5XP, dual VIAIR 480Cs with a 2.5gal tank, OTRATTW switches galore, URD y-pipe, RCI skids, LF 240s, etc.
Another great "mod" would be the rear seatbelt buckle holders that no one seems to know exist...those triangular pockets on the bottom of the seat back hold your seatbelt buckles when not in use

There's also the little clips on the pillar on either side of the back seat. Those little doohickies hold the seatbelts when they're not in use. It really helps to stop the in-cab rattling.

Then there's also the little electrical pigtails everywhere. Like I don't have the overhead temp/compass - but I have the electrical hookup for it in my overhead console. Same for the factory e-locker and the keyed passenger airbag swich.

And don't forget the soft-opener for the glovebox! The little piston mounts always seem to be broken. There is a piston that lets your glovebox fall open slowly but the thing has pretty much been broken since I got the truck. Until I figured out what it was, the darn thing was rattling like a mofo :D

    Thanks for the bump.
Didn't know about the 2 mirror settings. Nice to have a choice.
Holding the "mode" button down acts like a mute button. Works differently than if you press the "power" button.
    Thanks again.

A mint 1985 Porsche came into the shop yesterday, I looked at the shift knob, its exactly like ours but turned 180 degrees. So I went to my truck and turned my shift knob 180 (backwards) on my 6 spd mt. It feels awesome! Free mod for anyone with a manual. Your shift pattern on the knob will be backwards, but in my opinion it feels great and now I don't have to buy another shift knob.

I stupidly did not realize we have a telescoping steering wheel until last week.

I suspect the PO didn't even know there was a tilt wheel... there was still a plastic baggie / rubber band over it as it comes from the factory when I bought it.

    We are both R-tards, apparently.

    Disable the lock/unlock chirps.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...nlock-beep-how-turn-beep-off.html#post1106621

Step one: Open the drivers door (and keep open) and insert the key into the ignition

Step two: Remove the key from the ignition and, within 5 seconds,
reinsert the key back into the ignition and switch to the 'ON' position.

Step three: After 10 seconds, the system enters the answer-back mode

Step four: Within 10 seconds of the answer-back beep the switching mode is started, press the remote button twice and the system will turn off
or on based upon which the system is currently set at.

Is there a similar way to program it to unlock all four doors at once on the first press of the remote, instead of always having to press the unlock button twice?

My wife told me if you move the make-up mirror just right you can see what's behind you.

Works, but if you disconnect the battery you'll have to do it over again. This way is easier and stays off, but very easy to revert to stock:

I had a new battery put in a week ago, and the chirps remained disabled. :notsure:

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
For DC's, remove rear head rests and store behind rear seats. Much better visibility out the rear window.
