If you're going full LT you should do a CMR, not a CMC. I have 35's with a CMC and it still rubs. Going to be doing a CMR when the front stuff Is installed, going with DRT Fab.

I’m gonna hazard a guess that he’s going with the JD Fab LCA pivot kit that lets you move the wheel forward. Not really a good idea to sacrifice the cab mount altogether for a truck that still get driven on the roads a bunch. It’s there to keep the tire from crunching your legs in an accident.

I’m wanting to keep the factory cab mount as long as I can with the CMC and if I can’t can’t get it clear properly then I’ll relocate.

yea it’s going to see some long distances especially driving south so I’d would like to keep the cab mount to avoid exactly that.

I mean it's not a removal, just a relocation. the mount itself stays in the same place, but the part where it attaches to the frame is a bit further back.

Well you are effectively removing the frame horn’s ability to stuff the tire in an accident. But anyway, don’t mean to high jack…

You make a good point. But hey, if im prerunning my truck and get into an accident severe enough to push my tire into the cab, you'll know I died with a smile on my face.

Offroad design is a good place. Used them several times.

Depends on the wheel/tire combo. I've installed several of the JD pivot kits now, and some trucks still rub on an aggressive cmc + the firewall with the LCA pushed all the way forward, and some don't.

Maybe you should just do a cmr, cuz I know you're gunna wanna do 37's eventually anyway

Good to know. On my old frame I had the CMC and only had rubbing at full stuff and tuck.

I never found a shop up here to source the parts needed for the SYE so just ordered from Offroad Designs. It should be here next week sometime.

Just like how I'm gunna clear for 40's when I do all this work coming up, but continue to run 37's. My dream would be to have 2 sets mounted. 37's for road trips and high speed stuff, and 40's for the local crawling stuff.

You might as well do the work while you rework the front end at the same time. By that same thought process I should everything to clear for 37s while the truck is just a bunch of parts.

How are the headlights going to fare with a 40s being clearanced?

@tetten managed to make it happen without eating too much headlight, so I should be able to make it work. I do think I might have more up travel than him once all my front suspension is dealt with, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

The real problem is that I'll do moab rock trails wishing for the 40's anyway.

Maybe I missed it, but what axles do you plan on running after the heart transplant?
