Hey everyone! I recently purchased a new tailgate handle for my 2006 Tacoma and when trying to remove the old handle both bolt heads snapped, does anyone know what size of replacement bolts I will need? I don’t want to risk cross threading my new handle because I didn’t get the right size or snapping a bolt in that! Thanks for the help!

    I don’t know for sure.
But I believe Toyota uses JIS Standards.
If the head is 10mm (10mm socket), the bolt size is probably going to be an M6.
Most M6 are 1.0 thread pitch.

I’d run down to the hardware store and try an M6x1.0.
Then get the length you need. (Or measure the length of one if you can get it out.

That bolt comes up under standard parts for the tailgate.
So, that’s likely the correct one:thumbsup:
