2nd Gen Thermostat Torque Spec?

    Been looking all over the internet and this forum for the torque specs for the 2nd gen style thermostat. Im sure I can just snug it down, I just like to know for the geeky side of me. Thanks guys, much appreciated!

    1GR-FE COOLING: THERMOSTAT: INSTALLATION

    1. INSTALL WATER INLET
    (a) Install a new gasket onto the water inlet with thermostat.
    (b) Install the water inlet with thermostat with the 3 nuts.
    Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

    1. CONNECT NO.2 RADIATOR HOSE
    2. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
    Torque : 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)

    1. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Coolant\Service and Repair
    2. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE See: Coolant\Service and Repair
    3. INSTALL V-BANK COVER
    (a) Install the V-bank cover with the 2 nuts.
    Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

    that is for the v6 and might break the bolts on some other engines. How about the torque for the 2.7?

    4.0 didn’t torque mine went by hand.

    torque specs are typically more important on internal engine components such as rod bolts.
