You're worried about bed liner scratches on a composite bed?

Yeah, its the fiber glass bed liner. The picture doesn't really do a good job. The liner has a lot of deep scratches, just thinking about spray painting over them. You changed my mind, i agree they are war wounds.

Ryan, I don't know about the '15s but all the 2nd Gens I've looked at, the bed is a fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite (SMC). It's not a liner, there is no steel under it, but it's wicked strong!

I have a relatively simple question that will save me some work. In the under-the-hood fuse box, there is the tail end of a bolt sticking up on the front right corner of the fusebox (see attached pic). I am guessing that this is the power lead directly from the positive battery terminal to the fusebox. Is this correct? I can't find any documentation that identifies it, and without pulling out the fusebox (which I'd rather not do just to find out), I can't tell for sure. Is there anything in line between this bolt and the battery? Thanx.

some imports have a " main fuse (or fusable link)" if grounded can shut down all battery systems. SO when fooling around in this area [attaching some car toy or whatever] BE CAREFUL. i have done this on my miata -- $40 -- replacement -- on order. vinn

Thanks. Yeah, grounding the positive pole of your battery is generally not a good idea.

Yep, unless you're running a turbo engine (or something else that's way more performance oriented than regular 6 cylinder with a bolt on air intake), you are wasting money putting anything other than regular into your tank.

It's not going to ruin a turbo engine to run regular gas but it will won't be able to get to it's full potential on lower octane stuff.

Another easy mod: don't use aftermarket gas caps. It can throw a code that will get you a fail in emissions testing. Mine was and it's because of the cheap ass autozone cap. Put a real yota cap on and *poof!* error code gone.

Also in some areas you can get ethanol free gas, but it's not readily available. Most 87 octane has 10% ethanol in it, and some people run mid-grade, or 89 because it has little to no ethanol, and yields slightly better gas mileage, but is more expensive.

LOL true! You would never need a oil change ever again. I recommend taking out the fuel filter if you are going to start using water hahaha.

Didn't see this on the list...though it's probably somewhere in the audio forum. I think it should be sticky'd here though. Some of you might have seen this in the "what have you done to your 2nd gen" thread.

If you have Entune you can customize your startup display and display off images. I recommend using a blank stick for this. Just makes setting up the folders easier.
